PSHFES is pleased to welcome University of Washington Professor, Peter Johnson, PhD, as the guest speaker of our upcoming dinner meeting. Dr. Johnson is an Associate Professor in the Occupational and Environmental Exposure Sciences program, specializing in ergonomics at the University of Washington.
Dr. Johnson will be discussing his research on the effects of Whole Body Vibration during vehicle driving. The goal of his research is to collect whole body vibration (WBV) exposures from vehicle drivers and determine administrative controls (alter speed and/or route of bus, systematically vary type of routes) and/or engineering controls (identify and trigger the need for street repair) can reduce WBV exposures.
The event is open to members and non-members. Hale’s Ales will be serving a salad and pizza buffet. A variety of pizzas will be served including vegetarian options. All beverages are your responsibility. Please note that the banquet hall takes cash only, but the full bar in the restaurant will accept credit cards.
The cost of dinner and attendance is $15 for members and $25 for non-members. Please bring cash or checks. Any checks should be made payable to PSHFES.
Dinner will be from 7 – 8 pm and the presentation from 8 – 9pm.
